User Allow/Restriction on Product Access
This module provides an advanced user-level restriction system for product access in Odoo. With this
feature, administrators can control which products or product categories specific users are
allowed/restrict to
view and interact with. A special security group, Product Restriction Manager, is introduced to
configure these rules. Users who are not explicitly granted access will not be able to see or use
restricted products in any operation, ensuring tighter control over product visibility.
Product allowed/restrictions can be managed in two flexible ways: by directly assigning specific
products or by
granting access to entire product categories. Administrators can easily configure these permissions
through the user form, where dedicated tabs are available to add either products or categories. This
ensures that users only see the products or variants assigned to them, while managers retain full
control. With these capabilities, businesses can streamline operations, enhance data security, and
maintain better product access management across teams.

Setup
Activate the "User Allow/Restriction on Product Access" module.
Enable the "Product Restriction Manager" field.
Enable the "Product Restriction Manager" field. Then, the "Product Access Control" tab will be displayed in the user form.
Select "Allow Mode," then choose "Allow by Products," and add the product.
52 products are shown to the "Mitchell Admin" user.
Only 5 products are shown to the "Yash Patel" user.
Select "Allow Mode," then select "Allow by Categories," and add "All / Saleable / Office Furniture.
The category "All / Saleable / Office Furniture" contains 31 products.
Only the products from the "All / Saleable / Office Furniture" category are shown.
Select "Restrict Mode," then select "Restrict Products," and finally select "Restricted Product "Mitchell Admin" user.
The selected "Restricted Product" is not shown to the user.
