                Edit Sale Order Date
Change the sale order date for a particular user group.
 
                Key Highlights
Can edit the order date of sale order.
The access for editing the order date can be restricted to a particular user group.
Available in Odoo 17.0 Community, Odoo.sh and Enterprise.
 
                            First we have to set the user groups for editing the field 'Order Date'. For that go to the 'General Settings'. General Settings -> Users & Companies. Select the user who can edit the field. Under the 'Technical' section enable the 'Edit Order Date' and save the record.
 
                            After setting the user group, go to sales and choose a confirmed sale order. The field 'Order Date' that can be edited. After changing the date save the record.
 
                            Make that any of the users has no access to edit the field. For that disables the 'Edit Order Date' in Users & Companies.
 
                            Now login with the user who has no access to edit the field. Then open a confirmed sale order and try to edit the field 'Order Date'.
 
                            After editing the field try to save the record we can see a user error is raised. So the field 'Order Date' can be edited only for the users who have access to edit it.

                                    Can edit the order date of confirmed sale orders.

                                    Access to edit the order date can be granted by enabling the 'Edit Order Date' field in the user's access rights. 
- 
                                    Restriction error - If the current user has no access to edit the order date, a restriction error message will be shown when saving the sales order after editing the order date.
