Allow users to edit the 'Order Date' field
Go to General Settings, navigate to Users & Companies, select the user, enable the Edit Order Date option under the Technical section.
After setting the user group, open a confirmed sale order in Sales. Edit the 'Order Date' field and save the record.
Make that any of the users has no access to edit the field. For that disables the 'Edit Order Date' in Users & Companies.
Now login with the user who has no access to edit the field. Then open a confirmed sale order and try to edit the field 'Order Date'.
An user error will appear unless you have the required access.
Can edit the order date of confirmed sale orders.
Access to edit the order date can be granted by enabling the 'Edit Order Date' field in the user's access rights.
If the current user has no access to edit the order date, a restriction error message will be shown when saving the sales order after editing the order date.
