POS Global and Line Discount Management
POS Flexible Discount enables cashiers to apply discounts either globally across the entire order or individually on specific order lines directly within the Odoo Point of Sale. Discounts can be applied as a fixed amount or a percentage
Features
Global Order Discount
This feature allows the cashier to apply a single discount to the entire POS order with one action. The discount is automatically distributed across all order lines, ensuring accurate totals and tax calculations. Cashiers can easily modify or remove the global discount at any stage before payment.
Order Line Level Discount
Cashiers can apply discounts to individual order lines without affecting the rest of the order. This is useful for special pricing, damaged items, or customer-specific offers on selected products. The applied discount is instantly reflected in the subtotal, total, and receipt.

1.) Enable Flexible Discount in POS
This screen allows the administrator to enable the POS Flexible Discount feature from the Point of Sale settings. Once activated, cashiers can apply discounts using fixed amounts or percentages directly from the POS interface.

2.) Global Discount Button in POS
A dedicated Add Global Discount button is available on the POS screen for quick access. This button enables cashiers to apply discounts efficiently during billing without navigating away from the sales screen.
3.) Apply Amount Discount
This popup allows the cashier to enter a discount value as either a fixed amount or a percentage. The simple and intuitive interface ensures accurate input while reducing billing errors. Discounts can be confirmed or adjusted instantly before applying.
4.) Global Discount Applied to All Order Lines
Once confirmed, the global discount is automatically applied across all order lines in the POS order. The subtotal, discount amount, and total are recalculated in real time. Cashiers can easily remove or update the discount if needed.
5.) Global Discount Reflected on Receipt
After successful payment, the applied global discount is clearly displayed on the receipt along with the final total. This ensures full transparency for both the cashier and the customer. The discount amount is accurately reflected without affecting product details.
6.) Discount Details in POS Order Backend
The POS order backend view shows the applied discounts at the product level for better tracking and auditing. Each order line displays the fixed discount value applied through the POS.

8.) Global Discount Applied Across All Products
When a global discount is applied, it is automatically distributed across all order lines. Each product clearly shows the applied discount for transparency.
9.) Remove Global Discounts with One Click
The Remove Discounts button allows the cashier to instantly remove all applied discounts from the order. Original product prices are restored without affecting quantities or order flow.
10.) Enter Discount as Price or Percentage
This popup enables the cashier to apply discounts using either a fixed amount or a percentage. A simple numeric keypad ensures fast and accurate input. The selected discount type is applied immediately after confirmation.
11.) Apply Discount on a Specific Product
Cashiers can apply a discount to a selected order line without impacting the rest of the order. The discounted product clearly shows the applied discount value. This is ideal for item-specific offers or manual price adjustments.
