RMA ( Return Merchandise Authorization ) in Odoo

Manage your RMA request from odoo backend

Managing Returns for all kind of business which can help your internal users to manage easily returns and provide the customers with refund, repair,replacement of your products, Odoo will handle all your operations of return to manage all kind activities done for particular order.

Following are the list of main features for RMA ( Return Merchandise Authorization )
  • Provide with RMA reasons
  • Approve or Reject the RMA
  • Provide with Rejection Reason which can be pre-defined
  • Create RMA from Delivery Order
  • Once Approved can be Refund, repair and replacement
  • Track incoming shipment of RMA
  • Track repair orders in Delivery orders
  • Refund and create credit note once shipment received
  • Track all activities of each RMA orders on each orders
  • Print reports for RMA

RMA can used with the menus showed in the screenshot

RMA reasons can be pre-defined based on your different models and reasons used.

Rejection reason are used when the RMA is rejected so for furture tracking, giving appropriate reason

Once Delivery order is done than Create RMA button is visible that means this order is been delivered to customer

After clicking on create RMA button wizard will open you can select the product want to create RMA and give specifc reason and the for how much qty you want to create RMA

Now RMA can be approved or Rejected with specific reason.

Once approved there are specific reason which can be taken care for RMA, Return and Refund, Replace and Repair.

Lets start with Replace once clicked on replace it will open the wizard to creating incoming shipment.

It can be seen that Incoming shipment is created for the qty which is approved for the replace

Now lets start with Repair, if repair is selected in RMA it will create incoming for reapir order

For repair incoming shipment is created and there is option in delivery order to tick so it can be tracked that product is been repaired and its ready for delivery

lets start with the return and refund process, once clicked its ready for creating incoming shipment

Once incoming shipment is Done which means received in warehouse the button will be visible of Refund of payment

Once clicked on Refund wizard will open in that we have different options for refund to customers

For now Credit Note is created against that RMA.

There are smart buttons which can help you track all transactions or processes happened for the particular order.

In Sales Order it can be tracked the incoming and outgoing for that particular order with Invoices.

Once the RMA is rejected it will open the wizard to add rejection reason.

After rejection the state of that RMA shows as Rejected with reason to track in future why it was rejected.
