Install the Microsoft Outlook module in Odoo.

Navigate to Settings ‣ General Settings, and under the Email section, ensure that the checkbox for Custom Email Servers is checked. This populates a new option for Outlook Credentials. Refer to the screenshot below for guidance on how to create Outlook Credentials.

Go to the https://portal.azure.com/, navigate to App registrations under Azure services, and then click on App registrations.

Now, click on New registration.

Set the Name to Odoo or another easily recognizable name. Under the Supported account types section, select Accounts in any organizational directory (Any Microsoft Entra ID directory - Multitenant). In the Redirect URI section, choose Web as the platform, and enter your odoo url : http://localhost:1869/microsoft_outlook/confirm

Click on API permissions in the left-hand menu. Then, click the + Add a permission button.

Select the Delegated Permissions option.

In the search bar, search for the following Delegated permissions — SMTP.Send and IMAP.AccessAsUser.All — and click Add permissions for each.

Add the SMTP.Send and IMAP.AccessAsUser.All permissions. The User.Read permission will be added by default.

After adding the API permissions, navigate back to the Overview section in the left sidebar, and under the Essentials table, click the link labeled Managed application in local directory.

Click on Assign users and groups.

In the left sidebar menu, select Users and Groups, then click + Add user/group.

Under Users, click on None Selected.

Add the users or groups of users who will be sending emails from the Microsoft account in Odoo. After selecting the users/groups, click Select, and then click Assign to assign them to the application.

You can view the user you selected from the list of users/groups.

Under the Essentials table, click on Client credentials.

In the left sidebar menu, click on Certificates & secrets, then click + New client secret to generate a client secret.

A window will appear on the right with a button labeled Add a client secret. Under Description, enter Odoo Fetchmail or another recognizable name, then set the desired expiration date.

The Client ID (also known as Application ID) is located beneath the Display name in the Essentials section of the app's Overview page.

Next, click on Add when these two values are entered. A Client Secret Value and Secret ID will be created. It is important to copy the Value or Client Secret Value into a notepad as it will become encrypted after leaving this page. The Secret ID is not needed.

Then, copy and paste the Client ID (Application ID) and Client Secret (Client Secret Value) into their respective fields, and click Save to apply the settings.

After entering all the required information in the Outgoing Mail Server form view, click the Connect your Outlook account button to initiate the authorization process.

Then, allow Odoo to access the Microsoft account by clicking on Yes. After this, the page will navigate back to the newly configured Outgoing Mail Server in Odoo.

The configuration automatically loads the token in Odoo, and a tag stating Outlook Token Valid appears in green.

If SmtpClientAuthentication is disabled and you click the Test Connection button, you will encounter an error. Refer to the screenshot below for guidance on how to resolve this issue.

Open the Microsoft 365 admin center

Go to Users > Active users.

Go to the Mail tab.

In the Email apps section, select Manage email apps.

Verify the Authenticated SMTP setting: unchecked = disabled, checked = enabled and Save changes.

Finally, click Test Connection. A confirmation message should appear. The Odoo database can now send safe, secure emails through Microsoft Outlook using OAuth authentication.

This error occurs when attempting to send an email via Outlook Mail: the sender's email address and the outgoing mail server email are different.

I cannot get to screenshot, userguide, etc. Nothing happens when I click them.
