Employee Overtime

Sometimes, employees are required to work overtime. Managing and tracking employees’ overtime is a difficult task for managers. This module manages the employee's overtime. An employee has to create overtime request and submit them to the manager. Managers can manage overtime with the overtime type, they can see requests based on types. The manager gets an email notification when the request creates. The manager has to decide to request approval or rejection. If the request is approved or rejected then the employee gets an email notification for that. If the manager rejects that request then the manager has to give the reason for rejection.

Workflow

  • Step 1: Allocate managers to employees.
  • Step 2: The manager creates 'Overtime Types' accordingly to your organization.
  • Step 3: The employee creates a request, based on time(From-To) overtime hours calculated automatically.
  • Step 4: The manager gets an email notification when the request creates.
  • Step 5: The manager will be able to approve/reject requests. If reject then you have to give a valid reason.
  • Step 6: The employee gets an email notification when the request is approved/rejected.

Set managers for employees.


Select related user.


Go to settings => 'Users & Companies' set user access.




The overtime request form view.


The manager gets an email notification when the request creates.


Now thw approval request is in the 'Request' stage.


The overtime approve request form view. Click on the 'Approve' button to approve the request.


The employee gets an email notification when the request is approved/rejected.


If the request is rejected then it generates a popup for reason.


The employee gets an email notification when the request is approved/rejected.


The employee can see rejected request reason.

Terrible module, completely unusable

We bought this module under the impression that it would allow us to, at minimum, record our employee's overtime and manage Extra Hours (a feature not native to Odoo out of the box). This module does nothing but creates a poor record of overtime for an employee with no means of translating that record to any sort of pay record or adjustment of overtime hours. 

Major issues with this module:
1) Doesn't adjust Extra Hours / Overtime
2) Email ONLY notification, no Odoo notifications
3) Terrible UX, very difficult for employees to find or use
4) Only a single manager can approve per employee, so if that manager is unavailable you're SOL
5) Managers can't apply overtime on an employee's behalf, only the employee can.
6) Records are too simple to be useful. 

Support was very unhelpful and towards the end even hostile.
Buying products from Softhealer Technologies was a mistake.

The mentioned points are not issues with our module; they are beyond its scope. You can check the index, as we have not advertised any of the features you mentioned.


It is not feasible to accommodate every customer's unique workflows as generic features. That's why we clearly outline everything in screenshots and videos. and We also provide a demo before purchase so you can check if our module fits your requirements.
