Module Overview Shakti Product DashboardOpen a dedicated dashboard from any product form and see everything that matters for stock planning in one place: how much is on hand, what is reserved (and on which transfers), how much is still short on sales orders, which RFQs need to be created, and how much is incoming from purchase orders. Work faster without leaving the screen - update on-hand quantity, open related transfers or sales/purchase orders, and unreserve specific move lines from the reservation detail popover. Supports all outbound delivery routes: 1-step (ship only), 2-step (pick + ship), and 3-step (pick + pack + ship), with sale-order grouping for multi-step warehouses and a flat list for 1-step delivery. How to Use
Install the module
Install Shakti Product Dashboard from Apps. Requires Inventory, Sales, and Purchase apps.
Open the Product Dashboard
Open the dashboard for any storable product from one of these screens:
- Product form - go to Inventory → Products, open a product, and click the Dashboard smart button.
- Sales order line - on a quotation or sales order, click the pie-chart icon on a product line to open stock for that item in the order warehouse.
- Purchase order line - on an RFQ or purchase order, click the pie-chart icon on a product line to open stock for that item in the receipt warehouse.
Review stock for the right context
From a product form you see company-wide stock (or a variant breakdown for multi-variant templates). From a sales or purchase line, figures are scoped to that order’s warehouse - so planners can check availability while working on the order itself.
Review tables and summary cards
See on-hand, reserved, shortage, RFQ, and incoming details in summary cards and searchable tables (Reserved Transfers, Shortage, RFQ, Incoming, Variants).
Manage reservations
Click the list icon on reserved qty to see move lines (from → to) and unreserve specific lines when needed.
Take action from the dashboard
Update on-hand quantity, open linked transfers or orders, and use quick actions on summary cards - all without leaving the product dashboard.

User Guide Step-by-step workflowThis guide walks through the full business flow of Shakti Product Dashboard - from opening the screen to reviewing stock, managing reservations, and taking action on orders and transfers. Replace each screenshot placeholder below with your own image (same filename in static/description/). |
1. Install the module
Step 1.1 Go to Apps, search for Shakti Product Dashboard, and install it.
Step 1.2 Ensure Inventory, Sales, and Purchase apps are installed (required dependencies).
2. Open the Product Dashboard
The dashboard opens for a storable product from three entry points. Each path opens the same dashboard, but sales and purchase lines also pass the order warehouse context.
A. From the product form
Step 2.1 Go to Inventory → Products, open a storable product (template or variant).
Step 2.2 Click the Dashboard smart button (pie-chart icon) on the product form.
B. From a sales order line
Step 2.3 Open a quotation or sales order with a storable product line.
Step 2.4 Click the pie-chart icon on the order line. The dashboard opens scoped to the sales order warehouse.
C. From a purchase order line
Step 2.5 Open an RFQ or purchase order with a storable product line.
Step 2.6 Click the pie-chart icon on the order line. The dashboard opens scoped to the receipt warehouse of that purchase order.
3. Understand the dashboard layout
Step 3.1 At the top, use the Light / Dark theme toggle for comfortable viewing.
Step 3.2 The first row shows four summary cards: On Hand, Shortage, Incoming, and RFQ.
Step 3.3 Below the cards, detail tables appear when data exists: Variants (multi-variant templates only), Reserved Transfers, Shortage Orders, Incoming, and RFQs. Each table has search and pagination.
4. Summary cards - review totals and quick actions
On Hand - Shows current on-hand quantity for the product (or template total). Click Update to open the inventory adjustment screen and change on-hand qty, then return to the refreshed dashboard.
Shortage - Shows total shortage quantity and the number of affected sales orders.
Incoming - Shows total incoming quantity and the number of open purchase receipts.
RFQ - Shows total RFQ quantity and open RFQ count. Click Create (when available) to start a new RFQ pre-filled from current shortage and incoming context.
5. Variants table (multi-variant products)
Step 5.1 When you open the dashboard from a product template with multiple variants, a Variants table appears instead of the detail tables.
Step 5.2 Review on-hand and reserved qty per variant. Use search to filter variant names.
Step 5.3 Click Dashboard on a variant row to drill into the full dashboard for that specific variant (Reserved, Shortage, RFQ, Incoming tables).
6. Reserved Transfers
Step 6.1 The Reserved Transfers table lists all open reservations for the product on outbound transfers (PICK, PACK, OUT).
Step 6.2 1-step delivery (ship only): each transfer appears as a flat row with order, transfer, customer, and reserved qty.
Step 6.3 2-step and 3-step delivery: transfers are grouped by sale order. Click the chevron on the group row to expand and see each transfer (PICK / PACK / OUT) under that order.
Step 6.4 Use Order or Transfer buttons to open the linked sale order or stock transfer directly.
Step 6.5 Use the search box to filter by order, transfer, customer, or location.
7. Move line detail and unreserve
Step 7.1 Click the list icon next to a reserved quantity to open the move-line popover.
Step 7.2 Review each reservation line: from location → to location and quantity.
Step 7.3 Click Unreserve on a specific move line to release only that reservation. The dashboard refreshes automatically. Picked quantities cannot be unreserved.
8. Shortage Orders
Step 8.1 The Shortage Orders table shows sales orders where demand exceeds available reservation for this product.
Step 8.2 Columns: Order, Transfer, Customer, Demand, Reserved, and Shortage qty.
|
Simple example You have 15 on hand and 10 already reserved on other orders, so only 5 units are free. A new sales order needs 10 units → Odoo can reserve 5 and the remaining 5 shows as shortage (stock to purchase or receive). |
Step 8.3 Click Order to open the sale order, or Transfer to open the related delivery transfer.
9. Incoming receipts
Step 9.1 The Incoming table lists open purchase receipts expected for this product.
Step 9.2 Review PO reference, receipt transfer, expected arrival date, vendor, and incoming quantity.
Step 9.3 Click Open to jump to the incoming receipt transfer.
10. RFQs
Step 10.1 The RFQs table shows draft or sent purchase RFQs that still need to be confirmed for this product.
Step 10.2 Click a row action to open the RFQ / purchase order.
Step 10.3 From the RFQ summary card, click Create to generate a new RFQ when the product is purchasable and shortage/incoming context applies.
11. Search, pagination, and theme
Step 11.1 Each table has its own search field to filter rows without leaving the dashboard.
Step 11.2 When a table has more than 10 rows, use Previous / Next pagination at the bottom.
Step 11.3 Switch between Light and Dark theme from the control panel. Your preference is saved in the browser.
