Implementation Notes

Group Assignment

Assign users to appropriate groups based on their role (Front Desk or Restaurant Staff). Front desk staff typically need broader permissions while restaurant staff require more limited access focused on POS operations.

Permission Hierarchy

The module automatically handles implied permissions between groups. For example, granting "Write" access implies "Read" access. Create custom groups for specialized roles when needed.

Security Best Practices
  • Grant minimal permissions needed for each role
  • Regularly audit user permissions
  • Use the principle of least privilege
  • All financial operations are logged for audit purposes
