TUS Email OTP
The TUS Email OTP Module provides a robust and secure mechanism for verifying user identity through email-based One-Time Passwords (OTP). Designed for modern applications, this module enhances security during user sign-up, login, and other critical actions without compromising the user experience.
This module also provides an overview of OTP verification activities for various email addresses within your system. The admin has the ability to view OTP verification activities and restrict users if necessary. It shows each user's OTP along with the verification state, helping administrators track the verification process.

1. OTP Expiry Time.
After installing the TUS Email OTP module
Go to General Settings and set the OTP Expiry Time.
By default, we have set it to 2 minutes.
2. Access Right for OTP Verification History.
Go to Users and select the users who should have access to the OTP Verification menu. This will allow them to view OTP verification history for the specified users.
3. OTP Verification Menu.
Once you grant access to a user.
Go to Settings -> Users & Companies.
There, you will be able to see the OTP Verification menu, where you
can track OTP verification details.
4. Email Configuration in User.
Now, go to Users, create a new user or select an existing one, and configure the email address in the Email Address field. This will ensure that the user is associated with the correct email for OTP verification.
5. Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) with mail.
Here, you can enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) using email. This will add an extra layer of security by requiring users to verify their identity through an OTP sent to their email address.
6. OTP Verification for Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) via Email.
Once you attempt to enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) with email, a pop-up will appear asking you to enter your password. After entering the correct password and confirming, another pop-up will appear for OTP verification. You will then receive the OTP in your email, which you must enter to complete the verification process.
7. Successful Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) via Email.
Once you enter the correct OTP and complete the verification, you will see a success message confirming that Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) with email has been successfully enabled.
8. Login with OTP.
On the login page, you will see an option to Login with OTP. Selecting this option will allow you to authenticate using a one-time password sent to your registered email.
9. Send OTP to Login Email.
After entering your email ID on the login page, click on Send OTP. You will then receive an OTP on the registered email address, which you can use to complete the login process.
10. Received OTP on Email.
Once you click the Send OTP button, you will receive an OTP on your email. Use this OTP to complete the login process.
11. Verify OTP on Login.
Here, you will see the OTP field where you can enter the code sent to your email. Additionally, a timer will indicate when the OTP expires, ensuring you have a limited time to enter the correct code before it becomes invalid.
12. Expired or Incorrect OTP Verification.
If you enter an expired or incorrect OTP, you will see an error message and will be unable to log in. To try again, click the Resend OTP button to receive a new OTP on your email.
13. Resend OTP for Login.
Once you click the Resend OTP button, you will see a confirmation message, and a new OTP will be sent to your email. You can then use the new OTP to complete your login.
14. Sign Up with OTP.
On the sign-up page, you will see the option to Send OTP to your sign-up email ID. After entering your details, click this option to receive an OTP that you will use to verify your email and complete the sign-up process.
15. Verify OTP on Sign up.
Enter the OTP that you received on your email address in the designated field. You will also see a timer indicating when the OTP will expire, so be sure to enter it before the time runs out.
16. Successfully Sign Up.
After entering the correct OTP, you will successfully be signed up and gained access to the system.
17. Sign Up again with same Email.
If you try to sign up using an email address that is already registered, you will see a message indicating that the email is already in use. As a result, you will not be able to sign up again with the same email address.
18. OTP Verification History.
Here, you can view the complete history of OTP verifications for both login and sign-up attempts. This includes the email ID, the OTP used, and the verification status, allowing you to track all OTP activities in the system.
