Real-Time Stock Inventory Valuation
The Real-Time Stock Inventory Valuation module provides instant and accurate insights into current stock value across warehouses and locations. It generates detailed reports showing beginning stock, internal transfers, received quantities, sales, adjustments, and ending stock with valuation, based on selected date ranges and filters. Supporting both Standard and Average Costing methods (excluding FIFO), the module calculates the cost of goods sold and inventory adjustments, helping businesses track stock performance and make informed decisions. Installation
- Download the module from the Odoo App Store or clone the repository.
- Place the module in your Odoo addons directory.
- Update your Odoo instance to include the new module.
- Install the module through the Odoo interface.
How to use this module:
- Go to Inventory > Reporting > Inventory Valuation Report from the main menu.
- A wizard will appear allowing you to set filters such as warehouse/location, product or category, date range, company, and a summary view checkbox for grouped output.
- If Filter By: Category is selected, choose one or more product categories.
- Click on “Print PDF” to download a formatted valuation report, or “Print Excel” to export data as an XLS file.
- The generated report will show beginning stock, received stock, internal transfers, sales, adjustments, and ending stock values with cost-based valuation.
User Access Setup
- Navigate to: Settings → Users & Companies → Users
- Select the user and enable ** Stock Valuation Report** checkbox
- Save changes. The user will now have access to the Inventory Valuation Report menu under Inventory → Reporting and can generate stock valuation reports based on their access rights.
