With this app, you can define a set of sale discount rules for individual saleperson. Based on these rules this app will check
If the saleperson is able to confirm the sale order or have to wait for approval from the sale discount manager.
The rule can apply on Product, Product Template, Product Category, Customer or Order

Configuration:
Enable Discount option in Sale Setting
List features:
1. Set Sale Discount Role for saleperson. There are 3 roles
- Go to Sale -> Configuration -> Sale Discount Role
- There are 3 option roles
Sale Discount User: Saleperson only can confirm sale order if sale order matches with rule lines.
Otherwise, they have to wait for approval from users who has "Sale Discount Approve" role or "Sale Discount Manager" role.
Sale Discount Approve: User only can confirm sale order or approve sale order discount. If sale order matches with rule lines.
Otherwise, they have to wait for approval from users in the "Sale Discount Manager" role.
Tips: You can create different level of Sale Discount Approve or Sale Discount User by defining different rule line on individual saleperson.
Sale Discount Manager: User can confirm or approve all sale orders. You don't need to define the rule line for this role.
Notice, This app also checks companies for setting roles.
2. Define a set of rules for the role. The rule can be activate in the range date.
- The rule can apply on Product Variant, Product Template, Product Category, Customer or Sale Order.
- There are 2 option for Apply Type: "Total Discount Amount" and "Total Discount Percentage"
- If "Total Discount Amount" option is selected, you can input "Max. Discount Amount Confirm"
- This rule can be explained as follows: A salesperson cannot confirm a sale order if the total discount amount on the sale order exceeds $2,000.
- If "Total Discount Percentage" option is selected, you can input "Max. Discount Percentage Confirm"
- This rule can be explained as follows: A salesperson cannot confirm a sale order if the average discount percentage on the sale order exceeds 20%.
3. List of Sale Orders Pending Discount Approval.
This menu item is only shown for 'Sale Discount Approve' and 'Sale Discount Manager' role
List Example:
1. Example 1: Set Sale Discount Role and Rule.
2. Example 2: Check Sale Discount Rule on Sale Order.
3. Example 3: Approve Sale Discount.
4. Example 4: Copy Sale Discount Rules.
Example 1: Set Sale Discount Role and Rule.
Go to Sales -> Configuration -> Sale Discount Role
This menu item only is shown for 'Sale Administrator' group
Click on Create button to create new role
Click on 'Add a line' to define a rule
And this is fully rule for 'Marc Demo' User
Example 2: Check Sale Discount Rule on Sale Order.
If User 'Marc Demo' creates a sale order like image below:
If he clicks on 'Confirm' button, he will get the warning message
Because it does not align with the following rule.
If He changes this sale order like image bellow, he can confirm sale order
However, if he increases the order quantity as shown below. It will increase the total discount amount.
If he clicks on 'Confirm' button, he will get the warning message
Because it does not align with the following rule.
Example 3: Approve Sale Discount.
- The Users have 'Sale Discount Approve' or 'Sale Discount Manager' role, they can approve sale order discount
- Click on "Approve Discount" button to approve. After that, Saleperson can confirm sale order
User 'Marc Demo' can confirm sale order.
Example 4: Copy Sale Discount Rules.
- After setting discount rules for a salesperson, if you want to apply these rules to another salesperson with a higher level, here's how you can proceed.
- Go to the salesperson discount rules you want to copy for the higher-level salesperson.
- For example, the user 'Marc Demo' has two discount rules, as shown in the image above.
- Select a saleperson and company which you want to apply these rules
- Input 'Mark up Discount Amount' and 'Mark up Discount Percentage'. It will increase or decrease the values of 'Max. Discount Amount Confirm' and 'Max. Discount Percentage Confirm' based on user Marc Demo's rules.
- Here is the sale discount rule for the salesperson with a higher level than user 'Marc Demo'.
- This feature will allow you to easily clone the sale discount rules from one salesperson.
