Sign in with Amazon
This Module facilitates seamless authentication via Amazon accounts using OAuth2. This module enables users to log in directly with their Amazon credentials, eliminating the need for traditional password entry. By providing a secure and convenient login process, this integration enhances user experience and accessibility, particularly for businesses that want to leverage Amazon's robust authentication system. It ensures secure, hassle-free sign-in for Odoo, offering both ease of use and compliance with modern security standards.
Login to Amazon Developer Console
Log in to your Amazon Developer account at https://developer.amazon.com using the Amazon Developer Console.
Once logged in, go to the Login With Amazon Section.
Create a Security Profile
Click on Create a New Security Profile or Create New App depending on the UI.
Enter Security Profile Details
Enter Security Profile Name for your app (e.g., "Odoo Amazon Auth").
Enter a Security Profile Description for your app that provides a brief explanation of your application.
Enter the Consent Privacy Notice URL and upload a Consent Logo Image (optional).
Click on Save Button
Genarate Amazon Credentials
You can see your Client Id and Client Secret is generated. Copy both the Client ID and Client Secret for integration with Odoo.
Set Redirect URL in the Web Settings Section
Click on Manage, then go to Web Settings.
In the Allowed Return URLs section, configure the OAuth Redirect URL. This is the URL to which Amazon will redirect after successful authentication
For example: https://your-odoo-instance/auth_oauth/signin
You can also add an Allowed Origin if needed.
Configuring OAuth Providers
Navigate to settings and under the Developer Tools, Click on Activate the developer mode.
Navigate to settings > Users & Companies > Click on OAuth Providers
Click on the Sign in with Amazon
Enter your Amazon credentials (Client ID and Secret Key), set Allowed to True, and save the changes to the record.
Creating New user with Amazon
Click on Log in with Amazon
After clicking Log in with Amazon, you will be redirected to a permission request page. Click the Allow button to grant access.
Upon successful authentication, New User will be created for the first time login and later users can login with Amazon.
