MATERNITY CARE

What you get

Every feature below is live on the public demo — open hms.aminitechsolutions.com (login demo / demo) and walk it yourself.

One OB Case per pregnancy
01 · PREGNANCY EPISODE

One OB Case per pregnancy

The hms.ob.case record is the parent of everything: patient, facility, booking visit and assigned obstetrician, G/P/A/L parity, LMP with auto-computed EDD (Naegele rule, overridable after a dating scan), live gestational age and trimester, plus risk stratification from a configurable Risk Factor catalogue. Full chatter and activity tracking on every case.

Focused ANC visits
02 · ANTENATAL CARE

Focused ANC visits

Each ANC visit captures the focused assessment your MoH cards expect — fundal height, fetal heart rate, presentation, urinalysis, hemoglobin and TT vaccination — and prints a proper ANC Card PDF. Visits roll up to the pregnancy episode so the whole antenatal history reads in one place.

Electronic WHO partograph
03 · LIVE LABOUR

Electronic WHO partograph

The Partograph (Live Labour) menu plots cervical dilation, fetal descent, contractions and fetal heart rate against WHO alert and action lines, entered as timestamped partograph lines during labour. Spot obstructed labour on the screen, not in retrospect.

Delivery records and a baby registry
04 · DELIVERY & NEWBORN

Delivery records and a baby registry

Record mode of delivery (SVD, vacuum, forceps, emergency or elective C-section), perineal trauma, blood loss and AMTSL. Each newborn gets APGAR scores, anthropometry, resuscitation details and birth-dose immunisations (BCG, OPV0, vitamin K) — and the module auto-creates the infant's own patient record.

Postnatal visits and the HIV cascade
05 · POSTNATAL & PMTCT

Postnatal visits and the HIV cascade

Postnatal visits track lochia, involution, breastfeeding, family planning and Edinburgh Postnatal Depression screening. The PMTCT cascade follows exposed infants through EID at 6 weeks, 9 months and 18 months with ARV prophylaxis — the follow-through most systems drop.

Roles, facilities and reporting alignment
06 · GOVERNANCE

Roles, facilities and reporting alignment

OB User and OB Manager groups with per-facility record rules keep maternity data scoped to the right site. Catalogues for risk factors and complications ship pre-seeded. Data structures align with Kenya MoH 711, 705B and MOH 405 maternity-register reporting.

✓
Female-only patient linkage — Patient selection is domain-restricted to female/other/unknown gender records to prevent mis-registration.

Automatic EDD from LMP — Expected Date of Delivery is computed by Naegele's rule (LMP + 280 days) and remains editable after a dating scan.
✓
Live gestational age & trimester — Gestational age in weeks+days and current trimester (first/second/third/post-dates) are computed continuously from LMP versus today.
✓
G/P/A/L parity tracking — Gravida, Para, Abortions and Living children are captured and rendered as a standard G_P_A_L parity string.

FAQ

Common questions

What does this module depend on?
It requires AminiTech HMS Base and AminiTech HMS Consultation (plus standard mail). Required apps are added to your cart automatically at checkout, so one purchase gets you a working install.
Does it work on Odoo Community and Enterprise?
Yes — both Community and Enterprise on Odoo 18 are fully supported. It is not available for Odoo Online (SaaS), since custom apps cannot be installed there; use Odoo.sh or on-premise.
Is the partograph a real WHO partograph?
Yes. Labour observations are entered as timestamped lines — cervical dilation, descent, contractions, fetal heart rate — and plotted against WHO alert and action lines so the team can act before labour becomes obstructed.
How is PMTCT handled?
Each HIV-exposed pregnancy gets a PMTCT cascade record tracking maternal status, infant ARV prophylaxis, and early infant diagnosis at 6 weeks, 9 months and 18 months, linked to the auto-created infant patient record.
Which reporting standards does it align with?
The data model is aligned with Kenya MoH 711 (Family Planning), 705B (Women's Health) and MOH 405 (Maternity Register) requirements, and Pivot/Graph views let you slice ANC, delivery and postnatal volumes per facility.
What support do you provide?
Every purchase includes a 90-day bug-fix guarantee. Write to reach@aminitechsolutions.com and the AminiTech team will respond — a live demo is available at hms.aminitechsolutions.com.
