Meta Pixel Configuration Setup
- User need to navigate to website -> configuration -> meta pixel setup and create a configuration.
- Assign name to the configuration. and most importantly assign a pixel id. from your pixel account.
- Assign a website to apply these pixel events to be generated on.
- To check if the events are generating or not, user can install meta pixel helper extension.
- The other option to check if the event is generating or not is by selecting enable internal logs.
- After enabling the internal logs option user can go the events logs through the smart button.
- User can set the retention period to purge the logs data.(e.g : you set it to 10 days the records will be purged after the 10 days)
- User can also select whether to delete log records completely or only its payload data.
- This module can track the events like Page View, View Content, Add To Cart, Purchase, Checkout, Search, Wishlist and Payment Info.
Advanced Matching Feature
- With this module user can use the advanced matching feature to pass the user data (hashed) to pixel events
- user can select which information should pass to the pixel by checking the user's data field. (make sure that advanced matching is enabled in pixel account)
Conversion API Integration
- With conversion api integration, user can track the events not only on browser side but on server side too
- To establish server-side event tracking. user need to provide conversion api access token.
- After providing the api key if user need to check event tracking, user can provide test code. that can be generated in the test events tab of pixel account
- In pixel account the events are deduplicated when the generated events are same in both browser and server side. it prevents the duplication of the events generated by the browser and server.
- Meta will automatically gathers data and optimize it to improve the ads generation.

- Yes. All customer data used for Advanced Matching — such as email, phone, and name — is hashed using SHA-256 server-side before being sent to Meta. This means raw personal data never leaves your server unprotected.
- No. The module automatically detects and excludes Odoo internal and admin users from all tracking events. This keeps your Meta Ads analytics clean and free from internal traffic that could skew your campaign data.
- Yes. The module includes a sandboxed testing mode using Meta's Test Event Code. You can verify that all events are firing correctly inside Meta's Events Manager test environment before activating live tracking.
- Yes. The module is fully compatible with Odoo's multi-website setup. Each website can be configured with its own Meta Pixel ID and settings independently.
