This module extends the standard Odoo inter-company rules to provide more automated and synchronized workflows between companies.

Key features:

  • Price Synchronization: Automatically recomputes prices in the generated Sales Order and updates the corresponding Purchase Order to ensure price consistency across companies.
  • Automated Picking Validation: Optionally validates the correspondent inter-company picking automatically when one side is validated.
  • Backorder Management: Option to automatically cancel backorders and adjust quantities on the mirror order to match the actually delivered amount.
  • Mirror Invoices: Capability to create and link mirror invoices (vendor bills) based on the posted invoices from the corresponding Sales Order.
  • Quantity Discrepancy Notifications: Sends email notifications if differences in quantities are detected between inter-company pickings.
  • Warehouse Selection by Shipping Address: Automatically determines the destination warehouse for the inter-company receipt based on the shipping address’s partner association.

Usage

To use the enhanced inter-company features:

Configuration

  1. Go to Settings > General Settings.
  2. Under Inter-Company Transactions, you will find new options:
    • Inter Company Picking Auto Validate: Enable this to automatically validate the corresponding picking in the other company when you validate a delivery or reception.
    • Inter Company Picking Cancel Backorder: Enable this to automatically cancel backorders and synchronize the order quantities with the delivered amounts.

Synchronized Workflow

  1. Purchase/Sale Synchronization:
    • Create a Purchase Order for a partner that is an inter-company vendor.
    • The generated Sales Order in the other company will recompute prices, and those prices will be pushed back to the original Purchase Order.
  2. Picking Validation:
    • When you validate a picking, if “Auto Validate” is enabled, the linked picking in the other company will be processed automatically.
    • If there is a quantity difference between the two pickings, an email notification will be sent.
  3. Mirror Invoices:
    • On a Purchase Order, you can use the Create Mirror Invoices feature (available via the action menu or specific workflows) to generate vendor bills that match the customer invoices already posted in the selling company.
