Inventory Coverage Analysis Report
Inventory Coverage Analysis Report Odoo App tells you how many days your current stock will actually last. Pick Average Daily Sales drawn from consumption, or a static coverage day count, and the report classifies every product as Critical, Risk, Healthy, or Overstock against vendor lead time and maximum stock.
An Executive Dashboard opens with KPI tiles (total products, critical, risk, overstock, total stock value, blocked capital, stockout in seven days). Coverage Health and Financial Impact charts sit alongside a Warehouse Risk Matrix and two action lists: Top 10 Products to Reorder and Top 10 Overstocked Products.
Daily, weekly, and monthly snapshots build a history you can plot as Stock Value Trend or Status Trend. Filter by company, warehouse, location, product, or category, then read the analysis as a list, pivot, PDF, or Excel. It is built for inventory managers, supply chain leads, and finance teams who need one defensible view of how much capital is at risk and how much is over-committed.
Features
Executive Coverage Dashboard
KPI tiles, Coverage Health donut, Financial Impact bars, Warehouse Risk Matrix, and Top 10 Reorder and Overstock lists on one screen.
ADS or Static Coverage Days
Calculate cover by Average Daily Sales pulled from history, or by a fixed day count that matches your purchasing policy.
Four-Status Classification
Every product is tagged Critical, Risk, Healthy, or Overstock by comparing coverage days against vendor lead time and maximum stock.
Dedicated Action Views
Direct menu shortcuts to Critical Products, Risk Products, and Overstock Products so the team can act without rebuilding filters.
Historical Snapshots and Trends
Daily, weekly, and monthly snapshots feed Stock Value Trend and Status Trend pivots. Snapshots older than a year are cleaned up automatically.
Multi-Level Filters
Narrow by date range, company, warehouses, locations, products, or categories, and decide whether internal transfers count as consumption.
List, Pivot, PDF, Excel
View on screen as a list or a pivot, print a PDF for the meeting, or download Excel for the working file. Same numbers in every format.
Coverage Dashboard Menu
Coverage Dashboard sits under Inventory, Reporting, alongside Coverage Report, Coverage Data, Critical Products, Risk Products, Overstock Products, dedicated charts, and Historical Snapshots.
Executive Coverage Dashboard
The dashboard opens with seven KPI tiles (Total Products, Critical, At Risk, Overstock, Total Stock Value, Stockout in 7 Days, plus a Blocked Capital banner). Below sit a Coverage Health bar, a Financial Impact breakdown, a Warehouse Risk Matrix, a Top 10 Products to Reorder list with lead time and reorder quantity, and a Top 10 Overstocked Products list.
Status logic
- Critical: Stock is zero or coverage days are less than vendor lead time.
- Risk: Coverage days are less than twice the vendor lead time.
- Healthy: Coverage sits between risk and overstock thresholds.
- Overstock: Stock is above max quantity or coverage exceeds 90 days.
- Stock value: Closing stock times unit cost from the valuation layer.
Key dashboard widgets
- Coverage Health bar: Percentage of inventory in each status for a quick health read.
- Financial Impact chart: Money held in each status so high-value problems surface first.
- Warehouse Risk Matrix: Pivot of Critical and Risk counts per warehouse for targeted action.
- Top 10 Products to Reorder: The ten lowest-coverage items, ready for replenishment.
- Top 10 Overstocked Products: The ten highest excess-inventory items, ready for clearance or promotion.
Coverage Report Menu
A dedicated entry under Coverage Analysis opens the report builder for multi-company and multi-warehouse runs.
Set Scope, Dates, and Method
Choose the company, warehouses, locations, products, and product categories on one side, the From and To dates and the coverage method (Average Daily Sales or Static Coverage Days) on the other. Tick Include Internal Transfers if those moves should count as consumption. Then pick View Report, Export PDF, or Export Excel.
On-Screen Coverage List
Sort by Coverage Days to find outliers, group by Coverage Status to batch-process reorders, and read the colour-coded rows. The status, days of cover, and value columns are right there for every product.
Ready-Made Filters
Quick filters isolate data by Vendor, Warehouse, or Product Category, or jump straight to Show only Critical, Show only Risk, or Show only Overstock to focus the workflow.
Pivot Analysis
Use the pivot view to compare Total Stock Value by category, Average Coverage Days by warehouse, or consumption rates across product lines, with totals on every axis.
Dedicated Analysis Menus
Separate menu entries open Coverage Data, Critical Products, Risk Products, Overstock Products, and a Charts and Analysis section, so the team lands on the right view without rebuilding filters.
Coverage Data and Charts
Every coverage line is available as a list, pivot, or graph, so finance and operations can read the same data the way that suits them.
Critical Products View
A focused list of items where stock is zero or coverage falls below vendor lead time. Open it to raise replenishment requests before the stockout actually happens.
Overstock Products View
This view highlights products above their maximum stock or holding more than 90 days of cover. Useful when planning clearance, promotion, or trimming future purchase orders.
Coverage Health Chart
See the proportion of stock that is Healthy against At Risk, Critical, and Overstock in a single chart, ready for management reviews and KPI tracking.
Financial Impact by Status
The Financial Impact chart breaks inventory value down by status, showing how much capital is tied up in Overstock and how much is at risk under Critical.
Warehouse Risk Matrix
A pivot view that shows which warehouses are holding the most Critical or Overstock items, useful for balancing inventory through internal transfers.
Historical Snapshots Menu
Daily, weekly, and monthly snapshots run on schedule so the history builds itself. An auto-cleanup keeps the data set tidy by removing entries older than 365 days.
Snapshot Records
Open All Snapshots to browse every recorded run, filter by date, warehouse, or status, and compare past readings side by side.
Stock Value Trend
A graph view showing how total stock value has moved over time, with pivot and list options for deeper drill-down on specific periods.
Status Trend Analysis
Track how the Critical, Risk, Healthy, and Overstock buckets shift period over period to measure whether your inventory is actually getting healthier.
PDF Coverage Report
A formatted PDF for sharing with managers and stakeholders. The applied filters, KPI totals, and the colour-coded product table all print together.
Excel Coverage Export
Download the full dataset to Excel with every calculated metric and classification, ready for further analysis in finance or planning tools.
Granular Data in Excel
The Excel export carries every line of detail (opening, purchases, sales, adjustments, transfers, closing, coverage days, status, value) so custom reporting and audit work has all the data it needs.
