Inventory Out of Stock Analysis Report
The Inventory Out of Stock Analysis Report application is a critical tool for Inventory
Managers
and Supply Chain Heads to proactively manage stock levels. It helps businesses identify products
that are
Currently Out of Stock, At Risk of running out, or In Stock based on
real-time
sales velocity and defined planning horizons.
With this module, you can perform advanced analysis using parameters like Stock Analysis
Horizon
and Sales History dates. It calculates key metrics such as Average Daily Sales
(ADS),
Projected Demanded Quantity, and Stock Value at Risk. You can filter by Warehouse,
Location,
Category, or Product, and view the results in interactive List and Pivot views, or export them
to
PDF and Excel for offline meetings and analysis.

- Stock Status Classification: Automatically segments products into 'Out of Stock' (Red), 'At Risk' (Orange), and 'In Stock' (Green).
- Sales Velocity Analysis: Calculates Average Daily Sales (ADS) based on historical date ranges to project future demand.
- Risk Assessment: Identifies 'Stock Value at Risk' and 'Out-of-Stock Days' to prioritize replenishment.
- Comprehensive Filtering: Filter by Company, Warehouse, Location, Product, and Category. Option to include items with Zero Sales.
Menu Access
Conveniently access the Out of Stock Analysis Report wizard directly from the Inventory > Reporting menu.
Configuration Wizard
Set powerful filtering options: Define the Date Range for sales history, set the Stock Analysis Horizon (days), and select specific Companies, Warehouses, and Locations. Drill down by selecting Products or Categories, and choose to view All Products, Out of Stock only, At Risk only, or Critical items.
Action Buttons
Generate your report with a single click: View interactive analysis directly On Screen, download a formatted PDF Report, or export data to Excel.
On-Screen List Analysis
View detailed metrics in a list format, including ADS, Demanded Quantity, Days coverage, and color-coded Stock Status.
Advanced Search & Filtering
Use the search bar to find specific items and apply Group By filters to aggregate data by Category, Stock Status, or Warehouse.
Pivot View Analysis
Perform multidimensional analysis using the Pivot view to analyze trends, totals, and stock distribution across categories and statuses.
Formatted PDF Report
Generate a clean, professional PDF report ideal for printing and sharing with stakeholders.
