Odoo GA4 Advanced Website & eCommerce Tracking is a complete Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
integration for Odoo Website and eCommerce, designed to track user behavior, conversions, and sales
events with high accuracy. The module supports all key GA4 recommended events such as
product views, add to cart, wishlist actions, checkout steps, purchases, login, signup,
and lead generation. With an intuitive configuration interface, you can easily enable or
disable events per website and connect GA4 using the Measurement ID and
API Secret--without relying on complex Google Tag Manager setups.
Built with performance and privacy in mind, this app provides server-side GA4 tracking, advanced
customer matching, and detailed internal event logs directly inside Odoo. You can monitor event
payloads, responses, and status codes for easy debugging, while automated log cleanup helps comply with
GDPR and data retention policies. Fully compatible with Odoo 19 and multi-website environments, this
solution is ideal for businesses looking to improve analytics accuracy, conversion tracking, and
marketing insights using Google Analytics 4.

Setup
Activate the "Odoo GA4 Advanced Website & eCommerce Tracking" module.
Turn on the "Is Published" boolean button in the Product module.
In the Website module, click on the "Google Analytics 4" menu, and then click on the "Tracking Services" submenu.
Click on "Admin", then click on the "Data Streams" option, and then click on the "Data Streams URL."
Copy the "Measurement ID" from Google Analytics.
Copy the "Measurement ID" and paste it into the "GA4 Measurement ID" field in Odoo.
Click on "Measurement Protocol API Secrets" and then copy the "Secret Value" in Google Analytics.
Copy the "Secret Value" and paste it into the "GA4 API Secret" field in Odoo.
In the "Advanced Matching" tab, turn on the "External ID" checkbox.
In the "Events Tracking" tab, when any event under the "Authentication", "Product Discovery", "Shopping Actions", or "Checkout Process" sections is triggered, a log will be created in the "Tracking Logs" module.
Click on the "Wishlist" button.
When the "Wishlist" button is clicked, the "add_to_wishlist" event is fired in the "Tracking Logs" model.
Add details on the Contact Us page and click on the 'Submit' button.
When clicking the 'Submit' button on the Contact Us page, a 'generate_lead' log is created in the 'Tracking Logs' model.
Click on the product 'Odoo Product 001'.
When clicking on the product 'Odoo Product 001', the 'view_item' event is fired in the 'Tracking Logs' model.
