Task Creation Notify Mute
Stop notification spam when tasks are created in bulk
The Problem
Every time a task is created in Odoo, the project manager and other auto-followers get notified. Create 20 tasks for a sprint planning session and your team gets 20 email notifications. That is noise, not communication.
The Solution
This module lets you mute specific users from receiving task creation notifications on a per-project basis, or mute notifications for tasks with specific tags. Targeted silence, not total silence.
Features
Per-Project Mute List
Add users who should not be auto-subscribed when a task is created in that project. They can still be added manually later.
Per-Tag Mute Flag
Mark specific tags as "mute on creation". When a task is created with that tag, creation notifications are suppressed for all muted users.
Creation Only
Only affects the automatic subscription at task creation. All other notifications (stage changes, assignments, comments) work normally.
Configuration
- Per Project: Project Settings → Task Notifications → add users to mute list
- Per Tag: Project → Configuration → Tags → enable the mute flag on a tag
