What Is Split View Pro?
Split View Pro turns any Odoo backend list into a master-detail layout. Click a record and its real form view opens in a resizable pane right beside the list â so you can review, edit and step through records without bouncing back and forth between the list and the form. It works on every list view out of the box, with nothing to configure.

How It Works
From install to first master-detail preview in under a minute.
Install & Activate
Go to Apps â search "Split View Pro" and click Install. A split-pane toggle button immediately appears in the control panel of every list view â no menu, no settings to fill in.
Toggle the Split
Click the split-pane (columns) icon next to the list / kanban view-switcher icons. The list shrinks to the left and a Details pane opens on the right.
Preview a Record
Click any row. Its real form view loads in the pane â chatter, tabs, smart buttons, statusbar and the action/settings cog are all available, and the clicked row is highlighted in the list.
Navigate & Resize
The pane form's pager spans the whole list (e.g. 3 / 40), so you can step through records without leaving the split. Drag the divider to give more room to either side; double-click it to reset to a 50/50 split.
Open the Full Form
Need the whole screen? Click Open Form in the pane header to maximize the previewed record to the standard full-screen form view.
One Button, Any List
A permanent split-pane toggle sits with the view-switcher icons on every list view â click it to split the screen and preview records side by side.

Configuration

None. Split View Pro is intentionally zero-config â there is no settings screen and no data to set up. After installing, the split-pane toggle is already on every list view.
ð Access Control
The module adds no groups and changes no permissions. Each user only ever previews records they could already open, so your record rules and access rights stay in force.
ð Integrations
No external systems, API keys or webhooks are required. Split View Pro is a pure backend-UI enhancement built entirely on the Odoo web client.
