Make customer payments with Purchase Order!
Integrating a custom payment method like "Purchase Order" into Odoo 17 and 18 is a streamlined process. It starts by installing the application from the Odoo App store, which then makes "Purchase Order" visible in your payment provider list. You can enable/disable it, set test mode, and define payment terms. During website checkout, "Purchase Order" will be an available option. After confirmation, the order enters a pending state, and in the Sales module, you'll see the order with the purchase order number entered at payment time, plus any attachments.

1. Install App
First, install the payment purchase order application from Odoo's app store to integrate it into your system.
2. Payment Provider List
Once installed, navigate to the payment provider list where you'll now find "Purchase Order" listed as a new payment option.
3. Configure Payment Method
From the payment provider settings, you can enable or disable the purchase order method, set it to test mode, and configure your preferred payment terms.
4. Website Checkout
When a customer makes an order on your website and proceeds to the checkout page, they will now see "Purchase Order" available as a payment method.
5. Website Order Confirmation
After the customer selects "Purchase Order" and clicks "Pay Now," their order will be placed in a pending state, awaiting further processing.
6. Quotation Sent View
Finally, within the Sales module, you'll be able to view the new order, complete with the order number that was input during the payment process, and any associated attachments.
