Real-time stock check
Instantly verify ingredient and food item availability against your Odoo Inventory before a manager approves an order. Eliminate cancellations and over-promising by only accepting orders you can fulfill.
Item management & categorization

Automated delivery & validation
An approved order automatically generates a celivery Order and notifies the assigned Delivery Incharge to validate and confirm delivery. Ensure timely handoffs and a clear record of successful order fulfillment.
Payment & invoice workflow
A posted invoice is automatically created upon delivery validation, with full tracking through Unpaid → Partially Paid → Paid statuses. Speed up your cash flow and ensure accurate, instant billing after every service.
Role-based access
Define clear permissions for the Catering User (create orders), Catering Manager (approve/reject, manage menu) and Delivery Incharge (validate delivery). Maintain control and security by ensuring the right people have the right access at the right time.

Food Item
- Create new food items directly from the catering system.
- Assign items to categories such as beverages, snacks, and main course
- Update or edit food item details (name, price, description, availability).
- Use the Update Stock button to manage available quantities instantly.
Event Type
Create and manage different event types (e.g., Wedding, Birthday, Corporate Event).
Automatic Outgoing Picking Assignment:
Before manager approval, the Catering Manager must automatically have the catering order linked to the default Outgoing Picking Type, ensuring stock movements are prepared in advance.

- Service Type is automatically set when creating a delivery order.
- Users can select the relevant Event Type for the delivery.
- Option to add a new customer or select an existing one.
- Users can add a delivery charge, included in the order totals.
- Food items are added in line items with quantity, unit price, and applicable taxes.
- Total Untaxed Amount, Tax Amount, and Total Amount are automatically calculated and displayed in the footer.
- Orders progress through Draft → Pending Manager Approval → Approved → Delivered → Invoiced, ensuring proper approval, delivery, and invoicing tracking.
After confirming the delivery order, the state changes to Pending Manager Approval, the delivery charge is automatically added as a line item, and the manager receives a notification for approval.
If the manager rejects the food delivery order, the state changes to Rejected, the reason for rejection is recorded, and the manager can view the approval details including the rejection reason.
Post-Approval Email:
After the manager approves the order, a “Send Email” button appears, allowing the user to send the food delivery report to the specific customer.
Delivery Order Creation, Assignment & Notification:
The delivery order is automatically created and validated, assigned to the designated delivery in-charge person, and a notification is sent to inform them about the delivery.
Invoice Posting & Payment Notification:
After the delivery order is validated, an invoice is automatically created for the customer, and a notification is sent to the user who created the order or the approved manager. Payment can then be recorded as completed.

- The service type “Catering Service” is automatically set when creating a service order.
- Users can select the Event Type and add the Customer Name.
- Start Date and End Date of the catering service can be recorded.
- Option to add multiple suppliers along with their catering service charges.
- Users can add a delivery charge, but it is not mandatory.
- Foods can be added in line items with quantity, unit price, and applicable taxes.
- Total Untaxed Amount, Tax Amount, and Total Amount are automatically calculated and displayed.
After confirming the catering service order, the state changes to Pending Manager Approval, both the supplier service charges and delivery charge are added as separate lines, and a notification is sent to the manager for approval.

Dashboard
- The dashboard allows users to filter orders by date: Today, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, Last 90 Days, or a Custom Range.
- Users can also filter by Service Type and Event Type.
- Based on the applied filters, the total orders and revenue are displayed dynamically.
Upcoming events are shown as cards on the dashboard, and clicking “More Info” displays the full details of that particular order. Users can also view all upcoming events by selecting the option to see the complete list.
The dashboard displays a month-wise order overview chart, allowing users to filter by year and switch between multiple chart views for better analysis of orders.
Product-wise Sales Summary:
The dashboard shows a chart of the top ten best-selling products. Users can filter by year or month and select multiple chart views to analyze product sales trends
