Save your time automatically generating product codes [ SKU ] using templates
| Description
This module allows you Auto Generate Internal Reference SKU Product Code for Product Variants based on Category and Attribute Values.
Automatically generate Internal References for Product Variants using:
- Prefix from Product Category field 'Template Prefix'
- Suffixes from Product Attribute Values field 'Template Suffix'
Changing Product Category prefix, Product Template reference root or any of Product Attribute Value suffixes will automatically update related Product Variants Internal Reference.
Set custom delimiter in configuration
| Usage
To Set Product Categories SKU Prefixes
- Go to the Inventory App -> Configuration -> Product Categories
- Select an existing category or create a new one
- Set the SKU Prefix in the "Template Prefix" field
To Set Product SKU
- Go to the Inventory App -> Products
- Select an existing product or create a new one
- Set the Product SKU code in the "Template Reference" field
To Set the Product Attribute Suffix
- Go to the Inventory App -> Configuration -> Attributes
- Select an existing attribute or create a new one
- Set the SKU code in the "Suffix" field for the attribute value
When a new product variant is created its SKU will be composed
automatically:
Product Variant SKU = Category Prefix + Template Reference + Attribute Value Suffix
You can view it in the product's "Internal Reference" field

- Find the section Product Tweaks SKU
- Enable/Disable Delimiter: Toggle the delimiter functionality for SKU codes.
- Set the Custom Delimiter Value: Define the delimiter that will be used to separate product components in the SKU.
