Quick Chatter Notes
Quick Chatter Note is an advanced productivity module designed to enhance communication efficiency within Odoo's chatter system. It enables users to save predefined notes with a Title, Note Content, User Assignment, and a Global Note option.
A dedicated note icon is added next to the emoji button in the chatter. When clicked, it opens a streamlined pop-up window displaying a list of saved note titles along with their index numbers. Users simply enter the index number, and the corresponding note content is automatically inserted into the chatter message, eliminating repetitive manual typing.
The module also provides user-wise access configuration, allowing administrators to control note visibility and usage. Global notes are shared with all users, while user-specific notes are accessible only to assigned users.

1. Activate the module.
Install the Quick Chatter Notes module
2. Create Chatter Notes
After activating the module, navigate to Quick Chatter Note and click New to create a note. Enter the required details, including Title, Note Content, and optionally enable Global Note if the note should be visible to all users. Alternatively, you may select a specific user to restrict visibility so that the note is accessible only to the chosen user.
3. Accessing Notes in Chatter
To use the saved notes, open any chatter window (for example, in Sales click Send Message). You will see a Notes icon located beside the Emoji icon, allowing quick access to all predefined notes.
4. Using Notes Through the Popup
After clicking the Notes icon, a popup window will appear displaying the list of saved notes along with their index numbers. For example, if a note titled "Test note for admin" is shown with index number 1, simply type 1 and click OK. The corresponding note content will then be automatically inserted into the chatter message.
5.Note Successfully Inserted into Chatter
After clicking the OK button, the content associated with the selected title will be automatically inserted into the chatter message. This demonstrates how the feature enables quick and efficient message entry without having to manually retype frequently used text.
6. Creating a Global Note
We have also created another note named "Global", which is configured as a Global Note. This means it is accessible and usable by all users across the system, regardless of individual assignment.
7. Accessing Global Notes in the Popup
After creating the global note, you will now see two notes listed in the popup, including the newly added Global note. Since global notes are visible to every user, simply enter its index number to automatically insert its content into the chatter.
8. Creating User-Specific Notes
We have also created a new note assigned to a specific user, Marc Demo, as shown in the picture. This note will be visible and usable only by the selected user.
9. Using User-Specific Notes
When logged in as the demo user, you can see two notes in the popup: the Global Note and the user-specific note assigned to this user. To insert the user-specific note, simply enter its index number (2) and click OK.
10. Inserting User-Specific Note
After clicking OK, the note assigned to Marc Demo is automatically inserted into the chatter, demonstrating how user-specific notes are applied for the selected user.
