Detailed Features
When creating a new restriction, select a group name from existing Odoo groups. All users under that group are auto-filled-but you can manually update them as needed. This makes user access management faster and highly flexible.
Choose the model (like Sale Order, Purchase Order, etc.) you want to control. For each model, configure:
- Readonly
- Hide Create
- Hide Edit
- Hide Delete
- Hide Duplicate
This acts as a permissions controller for that model and ensures clean visibility per user.
Under the second tab:
- Select a model
- Choose buttons you want to hide
- Choose tabs/pages to hide
Once saved, the system will dynamically adjust the UI for selected users based on these permission settings.
As configurations are applied, the ERP system access for users will change instantly. Hidden buttons, tabs, and actions will no longer be visible-delivering a clean and controlled workspace.
Set Up
Install the module from Odoo App Store.
Go to Settings >> Users >> Open a specific user
Under Technical, enable Access Management.
Go to Access Restriction Management from the dashboard.
Open Model Restriction, click New, and configure your restrictions.
Work Flow
Fill in:
- Name
- Group Name
- Users (auto-loaded or manually assigned)
Configure restrictions under:
- Model Access Tab: Choose a model and check options like
Readonly, Hide Create/Edit/Delete/Duplicate.
- Button/Tab Access Tab: Select model >> Hide Button or Hide Tab/Page.
Assigned users will now see the Odoo UI modified based on the applied access rules.
