Integrate Sales Orders with Rental Damage Reports
This module links Sale Orders with Rental Damage Reports from the rental_product_damage_tracker module. It helps your team record and track any damage found on rental items (e.g., cars, equipment) directly from the corresponding Sale Order.
Key Features
- Adds a smart button on Sale Orders to view related damage reports.
- Allows creating new Rental Damage Reports directly from a Sale Order.
- Automatically links damage reports to the Sale Order and rental product.
- Displays the Sale Order on the Damage Report form and tree view.
- Supports Odoo chatter and activity tracking for follow-up.
How It Works
- Open any Sale Order that includes rental products.
- Click the Damage Reports smart button.
- View or create damage reports linked to that order.
- Each report tracks findings, severity, images, and repair status.
Example Workflow
Customer rents a car (Sale Order created)
During return, staff creates a Damage Report from that Sale Order
The report is linked automatically, showing affected parts and photos
Once fixed, the state updates to Closed
