POS Refund with PIN
Require a manager PIN before any refund can leave the Point of Sale. Stop unauthorized refunds, eliminate till shrinkage, and keep a clear line between who can sell and who can hand cash back.
PIN-Gated Refund Button
The moment a cashier hits Refund on a past order, a PIN entry popup blocks the action. No PIN, no refund - period.
Admin-Only Approval
Choose exactly which employees can authorize a refund with a single "Refund Access" toggle on their employee record.
Hashed PIN Storage
PINs are SHA1-hashed and compared client-side - never sent in plain text. Reuses Odoo's standard hr.employee PIN field.
Masked PIN Entry
The PIN popup masks every digit with a dot as the cashier types, so no shoulder-surfer can read the code from across the till.
Wrong PIN Blocked
An incorrect PIN raises an immediate "Incorrect PIN" dialog and the refund flow is aborted. The cashier can retry, but cannot proceed.
Lightweight Setup
No new menus, no settings panel. Set a PIN on the employee and tick "Refund Access" - that's the entire configuration.
Compatibility Notice
This module is tested and certified to work with the vanilla (standard, unmodified) edition of Odoo Community and Enterprise. It depends on the standard POS HR (pos_hr) module.
If your Point of Sale, POS HR, or related modules (such as third-party POS UI themes, custom ticket screen overrides, or alternate refund workflows) have been modified by another developer, behavior is not guaranteed. Please contact our support team before purchasing if you are running a heavily customized Odoo instance.
