Document Directory Upload

Overview
The Document Directory Upload app provides a seamless and highly efficient way to upload entire folders and directories directly into your Odoo Documents workspace.
Instead of manually selecting individual files or creating folders one by one, users can upload complete directory structures in a single click. The system will automatically replicate the local folder hierarchy inside Odoo, instantly organizing all nested subfolders and files.
Example:
You have a local folder named "Marketing 2026" containing 5 subfolders and 50 files. Instead of recreating it manually, simply upload the "Marketing 2026" folder, and it will instantly generate the exact same structure and upload all documents into their correct respective locations.

How It Works
User Access Configuration
Allow Directory Upload
Administrators can securely manage who can upload directories. Go to the User form, and under the Upload Directory section, enable the Allow Directory Upload checkbox to grant permission.

Dedicated Action Button
Once a user has the correct access rights, a native-looking "Upload Directory" button will appear in the Documents view control panel for quick and easy access.

Native Browser Selection
Clicking the button opens your system's native file picker. Simply select the parent folder (e.g., Business_Operations_2026) and confirm. The module handles all recursive file gathering automatically.
