Installation
- Download the module from the Odoo App Store or clone the repository.
- Place the module in your Odoo addons directory.
- Update your Odoo instance to include the new module.
- Install the module through the Odoo interface.
How to use this module:
- Navigate to the Aseet Management app in your Odoo dashboard.
- Create and Categorize assets: Go to the Invoicing module, then to Configuration, and select Asset Categories to create categories based on asset type (e.g., IT Equipment, Vehicles). Asset categories determine depreciation methods and periods.
- Add New Assets : In the Asset Management module, select Create to add a new asset. Enter details such as asset name, category, purchase cost, and acquisition date.
- Define Depreciation Settings: For each asset, choose a Depreciation Method, Number of Depreciation Period.
- Log Asset Disposals: To dispose of an asset, use the Asset Disposal Wizard to record the disposal method, disposal date, and sale price (if sold). The asset status will automatically update upon confirmation.
- Multi-Company Asset Management: Users can assign assets to specific companies,track depreciation separately, and even apply different depreciation methods based on company-specific rules.
- Manage the assets with Inventory: This feature integrates the Assets module with the Inventory module, enabling businesses to seamlessly track and manage company-owned assets within the inventory system.
