This setting allows users to configure styles for printed documents such as sales orders, invoices, purchase orders, delivery slips, etc., using the Professional Report Templates module. The report style defined in the general settings will apply to every report. Users can also upload a watermark PDF to set as the report page background and upload a last-page PDF to append extra terms and conditions, or brochures.

Create Own Styles Settings

Users can create their own styles, which provide functionalities in technical menu to get the report style option. Within the report style section, users can design and define their own template styles. Navigate to Report Styles : - Go to Settings > Technical > Reports > Report Styles.

Text Watermark Settings

Users can define the text watermark's position, font size, rotation, color, and dynamic content, making it especially useful for marking documents as SPECIMEN, DRAFT, or CONFIDENTIAL, dynamically including timestamps or usernames, and enhancing the traceability of printed reports.

Footer Details Settings

You can now include additional details in the footer, such as the full company address, contact information, bank details, VAT number and a small logo of your choice. The footer logo can also be easily shown or hidden from the settings as needed.

This feature allows the user to select a report template, click the preview button, and instantly view the selected template in preview mode. It helps users verify the layout, formatting, and content before finalizing the report, ensuring accuracy and reducing the need for repeated adjustments.

Installation

  1. Clone or download the module from the repository.
  2. Place the module in your Odoo addons directory.
  3. Restart the Odoo server to update the app list.
  4. Install the Professional Report Templates module from the Odoo Apps menu.

How to Use This Module

  1. Reports Templates Configuration: Go to General Settings, open the Business Document tab, then select a layout and upload the watermark PDF along with any extra content such as terms and conditions.
  2. Create Own Styles Settings: Go to Settings → Technical → Reports → Report Styles. Create a layout, select a template design, and fill in the other details as needed.
  3. Text Watermark Settings: Go to the Text Watermark tab, then enter the text watermark and configure the other settings.
  4. Footer Details Settings: Go to the Footer Details Settings tab, then enter the footer details you want to display in your custom footer.
  5. Preview Report templates: Select a design template and click the Preview button to view the selected template.
  6. Assign Report Style to Partner: Open any document (like an invoice or sales order), select the desired report style from the dropdown, and save the document to apply the chosen style.
