By default in Odoo, when a customer exceeds the credit limit, on the Point of Sale Odoo will show a warning message, Cashier still can select 'Customer Account' Payment menthod in the POS checkout screen. This will make the credit limit meaningless. With this app, you will be able to manage customer credit limits more effectively. The 'Customer Account' Payment menthod will be blocked if customer exceeds the credit limit.
Default warning message on Pos, if credit limit exceeds. The cashier can select the payment method 'Customer Account' and validate the order.
After the app is installed, the checkout screen on the POS will look like this, if credit limit exceeds
- Cashier cannot select 'Customer Account' Payment method.
- Show Credit Balance and Amount info.
- Total Receivable: Total amount invoiced
- Total Order Amount: The total amount of open orders not yet invoiced.
- Credit Balance: Credit Balance = Credit Limit - (Total Receivable + Total Order Amount).
'Customer Account' payment method will be blocked if the credit balance is less than the total amount of the current order. This helps prevent customers from exceeding their credit limit.
