Appointment Calendar

Appointment Calendar module is used to Book Team Members and Book Services on a website in Odoo. If a user wants to take an appointment with a team member or their services then the user can take an appointment online.

Calendar Booking Configuration

To configure the Appointment Calendar in Odoo, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to My Appointments and click on the Configuration menu.
  2. Open Calendar Configuration and create a new appointment calendar.
  3. Set up the following fields for your slots:
  • Slot Duration: Duration of each appointment in minutes (e.g., 30 mins).
  • Start Date: The first date the calendar will be active.
  • End Date: The last date the calendar will be active.
  • Number of Days: How many days the calendar should show.

In addition, you can configure Weekdays and Week-Offs for your calendar. Specify the days that are off along with the reason, and update the Start Date and End Date for the new schedule.

After saving, you can view all timezones with specific appointment data, including the exact times each slot was created.

Assign Team Member for Appointment

To assign a team member for appointments:

  1. Navigate to Customers and open the desired customer's profile.
  2. Enable the 'Is For Appointment' checkbox in the customer's profile.

Once enabled, this customer can be assigned to team members for appointments in the calendar.

To book an appointment with a specific team member on your website:

  1. Open your website's appointment page.
  2. Select the desired Team Member.

After selecting the team member, choose the desired Date and Time Slot for the appointment:

  1. Click on the calendar view to pick the Date of your appointment.
  2. Select an available Time Slot within the Start Date and End Date configured for the assigned team member.
  3. Unavailable slots or dates outside the assigned range are greyed out and cannot be selected.

Only slots that match the assigned team member's schedule and configured date range will appear, and Click Done.

After selecting the team member, date, and time slot, fill in the required details in the appointment form:

  1. Enter customer information (Name, Contact, Email, etc.)
  2. Click the Confirm Appointment button to finalize the booking.

Once confirmed, the appointment will be saved in the system, and the slot will appear as booked in the backend calendar.

After confirming the appointment, a Thank You Message popup will appear on the website.

After a customer confirms an appointment on the website, you can verify the entry in the backend. You can edit or manage the appointment if needed, such as rescheduling or assigning a different team member.
