Business Case Flow
One Case ID to track the full business flow across Odoo
Manage complex operations with a unified Case Number (e.g. CASE/2026/0001) that connects Sales, Purchases, Accounting, Inventory, Field Service/Tasks, Helpdesk, CRM, Meetings, Quality and more.
The result is a clear, one place to monitor progress, ownership, and all related documents.
Why Business Case Flow?
In real projects, information is spread across multiple apps: quotations, sales orders, purchase orders, deliveries, invoices,
vendor bills, tasks, tickets, meetings...
It becomes slow and error-prone to understand what belongs to one customer case.
Business Case Flow adds a single Case ID and a cockpit view that groups everything for fast navigation and monitoring.
Key Features
- Unified Case ID (sequence) used across documents
- Case cockpit with grouped sections (Sales, Purchases, Accounting, Inventory, Tasks/FSM, Helpdesk, CRM, Meetings, Quality, ...)
- One-click navigation to all related records (lists and smart buttons filtered by Case)
- Customer & Responsible person visible at the Case level
- Extensible: add Case field to more models later
How it works
- Create or select a Case (CASE/YYYY/NNNN)
- Link documents to that Case (CRM, Sales Orders, Purchases, Invoices, Tasks, etc.)
- Open the Case Report to see the entire process and jump to any related record in one click
1) Case Report Overview
The Case is your single hub. Instantly see the customer, responsible person and all related documents grouped by business area.
Case Management & Reporting
After installing the module, a new Cases application becomes available. It provides a central place to create, manage, and report on all business cases.
Each Case acts as a unified reference (e.g. CASE/2026/0001) that connects Sales, Purchases, Accounting, Inventory, Tasks, CRM, and more.
Case List & Reporting Overview
The Case list view displays all created and active Cases with key information:
- Case Number
- Customer
- Responsible person
- Status
- Quick access to related activity
Creating a new Case is simple:
- Open Case Report
- Click New
- Define the customer, responsible person, status and more
Once saved, the Case becomes the main workspace for tracking and navigating all related business documents.
2) CRM -> Case
Start from CRM: link a Lead/Opportunity to a Case so the full commercial flow stays connected.
3) Quotation / Sales Order -> Same Case
Link quotations and sales orders to the Case. Quickly open all related sales documents from the Case Report module.
4) Purchases aligned to the Case
Purchase Orders (and RFQs) can be connected to the same Case to keep procurement and costs aligned with the business flow.
5) Accounting: Invoices & Vendor Bills in the same Case
Customer invoices and vendor bills connected to the Case provide clear financial traceability for the whole process.
6) Inventory & Operations (optional)
Track inventory operations (pickings/transfers) under the same Case for complete end-to-end visibility.
7) Execution: Tasks / Field Service / Helpdesk / Projects
Keep work execution connected to the Case/s: tasks, field service operations, helpdesk tickets and projects can be tracked from one place. See who is responsible and what is currently happening.
8) Meetings & Calendar
Link meetings and calendar events to a Case or Cases to keep the full history and decisions in context.
