Odoo's native stock valuation only shows today's number. Accountants and controllers closing the books need to know what inventory was worth on a specific past date, sliced by warehouse, location, category, and lot, with clean PDF and Excel evidence for auditors. Rebuilding that by hand from move history is slow and error-prone.

Can I see what my inventory was worth on a specific past date?
Yes. Set any valuation date and the report reconstructs value from done stock moves as of that date, not just the current live figure.
Does it work with my configured costing method?
Yes. Valuation uses each product's (or lot's) standard price, the same figure your costing method already maintains, so reported values reconcile with your accounting.
Can I exclude inventory I don't own, like consignment stock?
Yes. An owned vs. non-owned toggle lets you exclude consignment and other third-party-owned goods from booked valuation.
What export formats are supported?
Both PDF and Excel (XLSX). Exports mirror exactly the filtered data and columns shown on screen, including comparison columns when enabled.
