Standard Odoo moves a purchase order straight from RFQ to Purchase Order and then to receipt. That is not enough when you import goods and need to follow them through customs and freight before they finally arrive at your warehouse.
Purchase Extended States adds six new stages to the purchase order status bar, so your buyers always know exactly where each order is â from the moment it is emailed to the vendor until the goods are fully received.
Every stage has its own button on the order, its own filter in the search view and a colour badge in the list view, giving you the whole procurement pipeline at a glance without leaving the purchase order.
- PO Sent â automatically set when the confirmed purchase order is emailed to the vendor.
- Confirmed â records that the vendor acknowledged the order.
- In Transit to Customs â the goods left the vendor and are heading to customs.
- In Customs â the shipment is being cleared at customs.
- National Freight â the shipment cleared customs and is on the domestic leg.
- Reception & Backorder â track final delivery and any pending items.
- Full compatibility â invoicing, receipts, reminders and reporting keep working across all new stages.
- Download and install the module from Settings → Apps → Third-party modules.
- Enable developer mode if you need advanced configuration.
- The Purchase application is required and installs automatically as a dependency. No further configuration is needed â the extra stages appear on every purchase order right away.
Open any confirmed purchase order. Beyond the standard Confirm Order button you will now find a set of workflow buttons that advance the order through the new stages, in order: PO Sent → Confirmed → In Transit to Customs → In Customs → National Freight → Reception → Backorder.
When you email a confirmed order to the vendor, the order automatically moves to PO Sent. From there your buyers advance the order manually as the shipment progresses. Use the new filters in the Purchase Orders list to instantly see everything in customs, in national freight or pending backorder.
