Print always means download
Click Print on an invoice or quotation and Odoo drops a PDF into your downloads folder. You have to go find it before you can even read it. |

One behavior for everyone
Some people want to just view a report, others want the file. Standard Odoo gives the whole team the same forced download with no say. |
What this module does
PDF Report Click Action adds a simple report click behavior setting to Odoo. You choose what happens the moment a PDF report is clicked: keep the standard download, open the report in a new browser tab in the built in PDF viewer, or view it inline inside Odoo without leaving the screen.
The choice is a per user preference with a per company default, so an administrator sets one default for the whole company while each user is still free to override it. It applies to every PDF report, from a Print button, a list action or a wizard, and it never changes your report content.

Keep the standard Odoo behavior. The report is saved as a PDF file, exactly as it works today. This is the default, so nothing changes until you decide it should. |

The report opens in a new browser tab using the built in PDF viewer. No file is saved. Read it, print it or download it from the viewer only if you actually want to. |

Set the company default
Go to Settings, General Settings, and in the Reports section choose Download, Open in a new tab or View inside Odoo. |

Any user can open their Preferences and pick their own behavior, or leave it on Use company default to follow the company setting. |

Click any PDF report
Print an invoice, a quotation, a delivery slip or any other report from a form, a list or a wizard, just like you do now. |
