Frequently Asked Questions
How does catch weight work in sale orders?
The CW-Qty and CW-UOM fields appear automatically on sale order lines for catch weight products, allowing you to sell based on actual weight for accurate pricing and invoicing.
Can products be invoiced based on catch weight?
Yes, customer invoices are generated using the actual catch weight quantity and unit price per catch weight UOM, ensuring accurate and transparent billing.
How is catch weight tracked from sale order to delivery?
Outgoing delivery orders display catch weight fields for both demand and done quantities. The CW-Delivered and CW-Invoiced columns on the sale order line are automatically updated to reflect the actual weights processed.
Is the catch weight quantity calculated automatically?
Yes. When you enter the product quantity on a sale order line, the catch weight quantity is automatically calculated using the product's average catch weight. You can also enter the catch weight directly and have the product quantity updated in return.
