XYZ Inventory Report
XYZ Inventory Report Odoo App turns a single report into three classifications running side by side. ABC ranks each product by cumulative consumption value, XYZ ranks them by demand variability using the Coefficient of Variation, and FSN ranks them by days since last movement. The combined badges make it obvious which items are critical, which are stable, and which are quietly tying up capital.
Pick the date range, company, warehouses, locations, products, categories, or suppliers, then dial in the threshold percentages and day-cutoffs that fit your business. Open the result as a list, pivot, or graph, print a PDF with three classification summary tables, or download Excel with a dedicated Summary sheet.
It is built for inventory planners and category managers who want one place to read everything from value contribution to demand stability, plus dead-stock signals, before deciding what to procure, slow down, or write off.
Features
ABC, XYZ, FSN in One Report
Every product carries three badges at once: value class (A/B/C), variability class (X/Y/Z), and movement class (F/S/N).
Configurable Thresholds
Set ABC cumulative percentages, XYZ Coefficient of Variation cutoffs, and FSN day limits to match your business reality.
Multi-Level Filters
Narrow by date, company, warehouses, locations, products, categories, suppliers, plus minimum stock, only negative stock, or include zero balance.
List, Pivot, and Graph Views
Read the result as a detail list, roll up to a pivot, or visualise as a bar, line, or pie chart with one click.
PDF and Excel with Summary
PDF lists every product with ABC, XYZ, FSN, DoC, and totals plus three classification summary tables. Excel ships with a separate Summary sheet.
Saved Report Results
A dedicated menu keeps past report runs accessible, so the team can compare periods or re-open a saved view without rebuilding filters.
Open from the Reporting Menu
XYZ Analysis sits inside Inventory, Reporting. Two entries open the report builder and the saved Report Results history.
Pick Period, Filters, and Scope
Choose the company and the From and To date, then narrow by warehouses, internal locations, products, product categories, or suppliers. Anything left blank pulls everything into the analysis.
Choose Classifications and Set Thresholds
Tick ABC, XYZ, and FSN to include them, or jump to a single class with the per-axis filters. Type your own ABC cumulative percentages, XYZ Coefficient of Variation cutoffs, and FSN day thresholds so the labels mean what they mean in your business.
Stock Filters, Sorting, and Export Options
Set a minimum stock threshold, restrict to negative stock, or include zero balances. Pick a Group By and a Sort By with ascending or descending order. Tick Include Raw Movement Data to add a detail sheet to the Excel export, then hit Generate Report, Print PDF, or Export XLSX.
On-Screen List with Triple Badges
Each row shows internal reference, product, category, unit of measure, Opening, Receipts, Issues, Closing, Unit Cost, Closing Value, Turnover, Days of Cover, Last Movement, and the ABC, XYZ, and FSN class badges side by side. Rows are grouped under coloured class headers with subtotals.
Ready-Made Filters and Group By
Quick filters jump to any of the nine class buckets, Negative Stock, Zero Stock, High Value over 10K, or Low Turnover under 1. Group By organises the data by ABC, XYZ, FSN, Category, Warehouse, or Company.
Pivot Roll-Up by Class
Switch to pivot to compare Closing Qty, Closing Valuation, Consumption Value, and Turnover Rate across ABC, XYZ, and FSN buckets in a single screen, useful for management reviews.
Bar, Line, or Pie Chart
Open the graph view to see Closing Valuation (or another measure) plotted by class. Useful when you want a single visual that backs up the numbers in a meeting.
PDF with Per-Product Table
The PDF prints the company, period, total items, and total closing value at the top, then a full product table with all the analysis columns and the three class badges per row.
Three Classification Summary Tables
The second PDF page lists every product with its ABC, XYZ, and FSN badges, then closes with three side-by-side summary tables (count and value per class) plus the legend and the thresholds you applied.
Excel Export, Left Columns
The Excel file keeps the full layout: company, generated date, items and total value at the top, then product rows with code, name, category, location, warehouse, supplier, unit of measure, Opening, Receipts, Issues, Adjustments, Transfers, Closing, and Unit Cost.
Excel Export, Right Columns
Scroll right to see Closing Value, Consumption Value, Average Monthly figures, Turnover Rate, Days of Cover, Last Movement date, and the colour-coded ABC, XYZ, and FSN class columns.
Excel Summary Sheet
A dedicated Summary tab inside the Excel file rolls everything up: ABC items and value, XYZ items and average CV, FSN items and total quantity, and the exact thresholds you used.
Saved Report Results Menu
Past report runs are kept under View Report Results, so the team can re-open a previous view, compare quarters, or pick up where someone else left off.
