Use Insert Variable to place real Odoo values in the report, with field suggestions to help users find the right data quickly.
Conditional blocks for smarter reports
Use Conditional Block to show different text when a record matches a rule, such as invoice state, employee gender, customer country, delivery method, or an approval status.
Line tables for detailed reports
Use Insert Records to show one2many and many2many records, such as order lines, invoice lines, tasks, stock moves, or other related records, as clean tables. Filter them with domain rules and set a manual limit when only the most relevant lines should appear.
Live preview with document layout controls
Preview the report on a real record and adjust logo, colors, font, paper format, header, footer, background, and page numbers. The top preview button opens the real report PDF in a new tab, so users can check it without downloading first.
Print menu control and access protection
Keep reports hidden while editing, then show them only on records that match your rules. Give Print menu access to selected groups or users, and exclude specific users from those groups when needed.
