Odoo CPQ - Dynamic Product Configuration
The Odoo CPQ - Dynamic Product Configuration module brings a structured and professional quotation approval workflow to Odoo Community.
It ensures that every quotation follows a controlled process — Draft → Pending Approval → Approved → Sent → Sales Order — preventing salespersons from sending or confirming quotations without managerial review.
The approving manager is automatically assigned based on the Sales Team, ensuring the right person reviews each quotation.
This module enhances internal control, improves pricing accuracy, and provides full audit tracking through chatter logs.
Managers get a dedicated approval dashboard to review pending quotations, while role-based access ensures secure and transparent operations.
It is upgrade-safe, lightweight, and designed to deliver Enterprise-level CPQ approval functionality in Odoo Community.

Setup
Activate the "CPQ" and "CPQ Approval" modules.
Open the 'CPQ Approvals' module, then click on the 'Configuration' menu, and select the 'Approval Levels' submenu.
In the Approval Priority field, a higher star rating indicates a higher approval level. In the Name field, enter the name of the approval level, and in the Allowed Approvers field, select the desired user.
Create a new quotation, select a customer, and then click on the Add Product (CPQ) link.
After clicking on Add Product (CPQ), add any product.
After adding a product, you can increase or decrease its quantity using the + and - buttons, and you can also remove the product from the quotation using the Remove option.
Both products have been added to the quotation along with their quantities.
If you are creating a quotation in the Sales module, you can also add products via CPQ by clicking on Add Product (CPQ).
In the Approvers tab, add an approver. The user with the lowest Approval Priority will be the first to receive the approval request when the Submit for Approval button is clicked. Only after they approve it will the request move to the approver with the next higher priority, and only after all of them approve will the quotation be fully approved.
When approver Ketul Patel refused the request, it did not move to the higher level approver and the quotation was Cancelled.
After opening the approval request, you can either Approve or Refuse it.
Only after all approvers approved the request did the quotation move to the Approved state.
All details related to the quotation will be visible on the dashboard.
And since this is the CPQ Approvals dashboard, all approval-related details will be visible here.
