This module connects your Odoo 19 instance directly to the WhatsApp Cloud API via Meta for Developers. Once configured, the built-in Google Gemini AI handles all incoming customer messages creating Sales Orders, sending PDF documents, and replying in the customer's own language without any middleware.

Technical Requirements
  • Odoo 19 (Community or Enterprise)
  • Python 3.10+ with standard requests library
  • Official WhatsApp Cloud API account (Meta)
  • Any OpenAI-compatible AI API Key (OpenAI, Groq, OpenRouter, etc.)

Recommended Setup Path
1. Install the Module
Install eb_whatsapp_ai_sale_automation from the Odoo Apps menu and activate it on your Odoo 19 instance.
2. Create a Meta App
Go to Meta for Developers → My Apps → Create App. Select Business type and add the WhatsApp product to your app.
3. Generate Access Token & Phone Number ID
From the WhatsApp API setup in Meta, copy your Temporary or Permanent Access Token and the Phone Number ID of your registered WhatsApp Business number.
4. Configure in Odoo
In Odoo go to WhatsApp AI → Configuration → WhatsApp Settings. Enter your Access Token, Phone Number ID, and Gemini AI API Key.
5. Set Up Webhook
In Meta Developer Console, under WhatsApp → Configuration → Webhook, set the Callback URL to https://yourodoo.com/whatsapp/webhook and paste the Verify Token from Odoo settings.
6. Test & Go Live
Send a test message to your WhatsApp number. The AI should respond instantly. Review message logs in WhatsApp AI → Message Logs and you are live!

Do I need a WhatsApp Business API account?
Yes. You need an official WhatsApp Cloud API account linked to your Meta Business Manager. This is required to send and receive messages and enable automated AI-powered replies through Odoo.
How does natural language order placement work?
A customer simply types their request in plain text (e.g., "I want 3 LED Bulbs 9W"). The AI identifies the product and quantity, matches it to your Odoo catalog including variants, and instantly creates a draft Sales Order.
Can the AI automatically send PDF Quotations and Invoices?
Yes! Once a Sales Order or Invoice is ready in Odoo, the AI automatically generates and sends the PDF document directly to the customer's WhatsApp. No manual download or forwarding is required.
Can customers check their Sales Order status via WhatsApp?
Yes. Customers can type their Sales Order reference (e.g., "status of S00123") and the AI will instantly reply with the current order status Draft, Confirmed, or Cancelled with full details.
Can customers track their Invoice payment status?
