Manufacturing User Confirmation
The Manufacturing User Confirmation module is a strategic enhancement for Odooâs production environment, designed to instill a higher level of precision and security within the manufacturing workflow. By integrating mandatory confirmation and cancellation popups into key stages of a Manufacturing Order (MO), the app serves as a critical safeguard against accidental validations or premature cancellations.
Features
Manufacturing Confirmation Safeguard
This feature introduces a mandatory verification step during the finalization of a manufacturing order. When a user attempts to mark an order as "Done," a permission-based popup appears requiring explicit confirmation before the system processes the validation.
Integrated Cancellation Protection
To prevent the loss of progress and data associated with unintended cancellations, the module triggers a secondary approval prompt before any manufacturing order is terminated. This popup forces the user to pause and verify the action, ensuring that only intentional cancellations are executed.
Screenshot
1.) Initiating Order Confirmation
The standard Manufacturing Order interface includes a primary action button to validate the production progress
2.) Verification Prompt for Validation
A specialized dialogue box emerges to interrupt the automated process, asking for a final confirmation before the order is officially marked as completed.
3.) Completion of the Manufacturing Order
Following the userâs affirmative response to the confirmation prompt, the system successfully transitions the Manufacturing Order to the "Done" stage.
4.) Requesting Order Cancellation
While managing an active Manufacturing Order, a user may select the option to void the current production run.
5.) Secondary Approval for Cancellation
A warning popup appears to alert the user that they are about to cancel the manufacturing run, providing a final opportunity to reconsider the action.
6.) Formalized Order Termination
Once the cancellation is confirmed via the popup, the Manufacturing Order is updated to a cancelled status.
