PO Creation Restriction
PO Creation Restriction is a lightweight yet powerful Odoo module designed to enhance access control within the purchase management process. It enables administrators or authorized managers to restrict specific users from creating purchase orders, ensuring tighter operational governance and preventing unauthorized procurement activities.
Features
User-Based Purchase Order Restriction
This feature allows administrators to control which users can create purchase orders by enabling a simple boolean option in the user settings. With just a single configuration, managers can restrict specific users without modifying complex access rights or roles.
Automatic Removal of Create Option Across Views
Once the restriction is applied, the module automatically removes the "Create" button from all relevant purchase order views, including list, kanban, and form views.
Backend Validation with Error Handling
Even if a restricted user attempts to create a purchase order through alternative methods or indirect actions, the system enforces validation by triggering an error.

1.) User Configuration for Restriction
A dedicated option is available within user settings that allows managers to enable or disable purchase order creation rights. With a simple toggle, control over procurement access becomes quick and intuitive, eliminating the need for complex configurations.
Navigation : Settings → Users & Companies → Users
2.) Purchase Order Interface Without Create Option
In the purchase order views, the absence of the "Create" button clearly reflects the applied restriction.
3.) Error Message on Unauthorized Creation Attempt
When a restricted user tries to bypass the interface limitation and create a purchase order through other means, the system responds with a clear error message.
