Automatic Tip Calculation at Checkout
This feature automatically applies a tip to the POS order during checkout, eliminating the need for manual input by the cashier. The tip is calculated instantly based on the configured rule and added directly to the order total on the payment screen.
Flexible Tip Configuration: Percentage or Fixed Amount
The module allows you to configure tips either as a percentage of the order total or as a fixed monetary amount. Businesses can easily switch between both methods from the POS settings without any technical knowledge.
Global Enable/Disable Control for POS Tips
A simple global toggle lets administrators enable or disable automatic tipping for the entire POS system. This makes it easy to activate the feature only when required, such as during peak service hours or special campaigns.

1.) Enable Global Auto Tip Feature
Easily activate the automated tipping functionality system-wide by enabling the "Auto Tip in POS" toggle located directly within the centralized INKERP configuration menu.
2.) Configure Percentage-Based Rules
Navigate to your Point of Sale settings to define your tipping logic. By selecting the "Percentage" calculation method, you can set a dynamic rate like the 10% shown here that automatically scales with the customer's cart total.
3.) Standard POS Order Processing
Cashiers ring up items on the POS interface as usual. In this example, an order totaling $1,500.00 is finalized, and the cashier proceeds by clicking the Payment button to initiate checkout.
4.) Automatic Percentage Tip Applied
Upon entering the payment screen, the system instantly triggers the pre-configured 10% rule, automatically adding a $150.00 tip as a distinct line item and seamlessly updating the total amount due.
5.) Configure Fixed-Amount Rules
Alternatively, you can adapt to different business needs by switching the calculation method to "Fixed Amount." Here, a flat $50.00 auto-tip is configured to apply uniformly to every transaction.
6.) Automatic Fixed Tip Applied
When transitioning to the payment screen, the system automatically recognizes the fixed-amount rule and applies the exact $50.00 tip to the order, instantly reflecting the addition in the final billing summary.
