POS Keyboard Shortcuts Manager
The app provides a complete backend interface to define, manage, and control POS keyboard shortcuts for common POS actions such as payment, customer screen, quantity, discount, price input, order navigation, and receipt printing. To make shortcut usage easy and intuitive, the module includes an on-screen shortcut helper. When the cashier presses the ALT key, all available keyboard shortcuts are visually displayed on the POS screen at their actual working positions, helping users quickly learn and use shortcuts without memorization.
Features
Configurable POS Keyboard Shortcuts
This feature allows administrators to define and manage keyboard keys from the POS Shortcuts menu in the backend. Each POS action such as payment, customer screen, quantity, discount, price input, and order navigation can be mapped to a specific key. By configuring shortcuts centrally, businesses can standardize cashier operations and ensure a faster, more consistent checkout experience across all POS sessions.
On-Screen Shortcut Guidance (ALT Key Helper)
All shortcut keys defined in the Shortcuts configuration are displayed directly on the POS screen when the ALT key is pressed. The helper shows each key at its actual working position, allowing cashiers to instantly understand which key triggers which action. This feature is especially useful for new users, as it removes the need to memorize shortcuts and speeds up learning during live POS operations.

POS Keyboard Shortcut Feature Activation
The POS Keyboard Shortcut feature is enabled from the main Settings menu under the custom module section. Activating this option allows the system to load all shortcut configurations related to POS operations.
2.) Access Shortcut Configuration Menu
A dedicated Shortcuts menu is added under Point of Sale - Configuration, allowing quick access to shortcut management.
3.) Shortcut Key Definition and Management
All POS actions are mapped to specific keyboard keys through a structured shortcut configuration interface. Actions such as payment navigation, customer screen access, quantity, discount, price selection, order line navigation, and invoice generation are assigned from here. Payment methods can also have individual shortcut keys, ensuring faster checkout operations.
4.) POS Shortcut Enablement from POS Settings
Keyboard shortcuts are enabled directly from the Point of Sale settings with a simple checkbox option. A shortcut selection field allows choosing which shortcut configuration should be applied to the POS session.
5.) Keyboard Shortcuts in Live POS Interface
All keyboard shortcuts defined in the shortcut configuration work seamlessly inside the live POS interface. When the cashier presses the ALT key, the system visually displays all available shortcut keys directly at their actual working locations on the POS screen. This interactive guidance helps users instantly understand shortcut functionality, improves accuracy, and allows faster POS operations without relying on memorization or training.
