POS Order Backup/Restore
POS Order Backup/Restore helps cashiers safely back up unsaved Point of Sale orders and restore them later whenever needed. This module is useful when a POS session is accidentally closed, browser storage is cleared, the cashier switches terminals, or an order needs to be recovered before validation. It stores complete POS order data including customer, products, quantity, price, discounts, taxes, line notes, customer notes, and general order notes.
Features
One-Click Backup for Unsaved POS Orders
The POS Order Backup/Restore app allows cashiers to create a backup of the current unsaved POS order directly from the POS screen. With a simple Backup button, the system stores all important order details such as products, quantities, customer, prices, discounts, taxes, customer notes, and general order notes.
Restore Previous POS Orders Instantly
The module provides a user-friendly Restore option inside the POS interface, allowing cashiers to recover previously backed-up orders in just a few clicks. All available backup records are displayed in a popup with backup reference, session, user, and date details, making it easy to identify the correct order.
Complete Backend Backup History with JSON Data
Every backup created from the POS is securely stored in the Odoo backend under Point of Sale in Order Backups. Administrators can review backup records with details such as backup reference, POS session, Point of Sale, backup user, and created date.
