Split Sale Order
The Split Sale Order module streamlines sales order management in Odoo by allowing users to split existing sale order lines and create new quotations effortlessly. It enhances operational flexibility by enabling the assignment of different customers and order dates to newly generated quotations, helping businesses manage complex orders efficiently.
Features
Split Sale Order Lines
This feature allows users to select specific lines within a sales order and split them into new quotations. By isolating parts of an order, sales teams can better manage deliveries, prioritize urgent items, or create separate billing cycles.
Assign Different Customers and Order Dates
When creating new quotations from split lines, users can assign a different customer and specify a new order date. This flexibility ensures that multi-customer orders or rescheduled deliveries are handled seamlessly.
Intelligent Validation and Warnings
The module includes built-in checks to ensure that a sales order has more than one line before allowing a split. If there is only a single line, it prevents unnecessary splitting and provides a clear warning.

1.) Split Sale Order Button
The module adds a dedicated button in the quotations form view, making it easy to start the splitting process. Clicking the button opens a guided interface to manage sales order lines efficiently.
2.) Sale Order Lines Tree View
After activating the split process, a tree view of sale order lines appears, allowing users to select specific items for the new quotation. This organized view helps quickly identify which products need to be split.
3.) Split Sale Order Menu
Users can also access the split functionality via the âActionâ dropdown menu. It provides a convenient alternative for selecting lines directly and initiating the splitting workflow without leaving the sales order interface.
4.) Split Sale Order Wizard
A popup interface allows users to assign a new customer and order date for the split quotation. This step ensures flexibility in handling orders for multiple clients or rescheduling delivery dates efficiently.
5.) Warnings for Single-Line Orders
If an order contains only one line, a clear warning appears to prevent splitting. This feature maintains process accuracy and avoids unnecessary or invalid operations.
