How It Works

Configure Timeout: Set the idle timeout duration and warning time in Settings > Session Management.
Monitor Activity: The module continuously monitors user activity (mouse, keyboard, clicks, scrolling).
Reset Timer: Any user activity resets the idle timer, keeping the session active.
Show Warning: When approaching the timeout, a warning dialog appears with the option to extend the session.
Auto Logout: If no action is taken, the user is automatically logged out when the timeout is reached.

Odoo 19.0 or higher
web module (included in Odoo)
base_setup module (included in Odoo)

Installation Steps

Copy the module to your Odoo addons directory
Update the apps list in Odoo
Search for "Auto Logout" in Apps
Click Install
Configure timeout settings in Settings

Configuration

Setting Up Auto Logout

Go to Settings > Session Management
Enable "Enable Auto Logout" toggle
Set "Idle Timeout (minutes)" - recommended: 30-60 minutes
Set "Warning Time (seconds)" - recommended: 60 seconds
Save the settings

Note: The warning time must be less than the idle timeout. For example, if timeout is 30 minutes, warning time should be 60 seconds or less.
