Slack Odoo Connector
Integrate Slack with Odoo Projects notify task followers instantly on every update via Slack Direct Message.

1. Create App: Create a new app in Slack.
2. Two options are available: "From a Manifest" and "From Scratch". If you already have a Slack workspace, you can directly create the app using the Manifest option, or you can create a new app from Scratch.
3. Click on "From a Manifest". Then select your Slack workspace from the list. After selecting the workspace, click the "Next" button and then click "Create" to create the app.
4. Open the "OAuth & Permissions" menu from the left sidebar, as shown in the screenshot.
5. In the "User Token Scopes" section, click on the "Add an OAuth Scope" button.
6. Add the following OAuth scopes in the "User Token Scopes" section as shown in the screenshot.
7. Click on the "Install App" menu. Then click on the "Install to [Workspace Name]" button to install the app in your Slack workspace.
8. After clicking "Install to [Workspace Name]", a new screen will appear. Click the "Allow" button to give permission and install the app.
9. Once the app is installed, the "OAuth Tokens" page will appear.
10. Settings -> Users & Companies ->Slack Integration From there, you can enter your Slack API Token and sync users.
11.Click on the "Connection Check" button to verify the integration. A "Successfully Connected!" notification will appear in the top-right corner if the setup is correct.
12. Click the "Sync Users" button to Sync all Slack members into Odoo. Once the process is complete, you will see the list of users updated in the table below and receive a "Sync Done!" confirmation message.
13. To verify the integration for an individual, open the user's profile in Odoo. You will see the "Slack User ID" field automatically populated with their unique Slack identifier, linking their Slack account to their Odoo user profile.
14. Create a new task and add Assignees. Once the task is created, all followers and assigned users will automatically receive a notification message in Slack.
15. As shown in the image, the assigned user receives a notification directly in Slack. The message contains all relevant task details and a "View in Record" button for quick access to the Odoo task.
16. Whenever an assigned user or a follower makes any changes to a task, the update is automatically sent to Slack.
